Conn Iggulden is a British author who writes historical fiction. He also co-authored The Dangerous Book for Boys along with his brother Hal Iggulden.

Since the first publication of ‘The Gates of Rome', I've written thirty books or so. (Look, I love to write. Please don't fall behind, one of us will be embarrassed.) My subjects have been as varied as Wars of the Roses, Pericles, Genghis and a fantasy trilogy. You can view them all in the Books tab above. History is full of great tales. There's always something inspiring. With or without a quote. Enjoy.
About the Author
Born in London, Conn Iggulden read English at London University and worked as a teacher for seven years before becoming a full time writer, starting with his first work: The Gates of Rome. In 2007, he became the first person to top the UK fiction and non-fiction charts at the same time. His notable works include The Emperor series, The Conqueror series on Genghis Khan, Wars of the Roses, Dunstan, The Falcon of Sparta and The Athenian series. He also wrote The Dangerous Book for Boys which won Book of the Year in 2007 as well as its sequel 'The Double Dangerous', written with his two sons in 2019. In 2024, his first book on Nero comes out. He is married and lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and four children.
